Women will spend less on cosmetics in 2010, according to a study conducted by AlixPartners and published in WWD. Alix polled 600 Americans over age 25 and found that women will spend 8.7% less on cosmetics next year.

Sorry to start the countdown on a sad note, but I have to pay tribute to Daul Kim, who passed away in Paris this past November. Daul was only 20 years old. One of the last photoshoots Daul did was printed in 10's December issue. I find the left photo terribly disturbing and evocative, yet beautiful. She will be missed.

I pined for this loose kohl for months, purely for the novelty factor. We're impressed with their shiny exteriors, gleaming with promise, but the true test of a bucket's worth is how much it can hold.

So when he opens the door for us, brings us soup when we're sick, and shows us how great he is with dogs (a personal soft spot), it's as if the bucket is filling up, proving its worthiness.
